A late 19th century "Pease" type wooden covered box with original bold Red/Yellow sponged decoration. Turned Poplar body and handled cover. Original finish with craquelure and minor wear, shrinkage crack in base and halfway up one side. 7 1/2" diameter x 7 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $600-800
