- Lot Description
A late 18th/early 19th century New England continuous arm Windsor armchair. Possibly by Joseph Clarke, Litchfield Cty, Conn. Seven spindle back, shaped hand holds and carved knuckles, turned spindles, shaped plank seat and turned stretcher base. Hickory and Maple construction with a Pine seat. Older re-varnishing over old Red paint with some wear, crack in back/spindle joint upper left. 21 x 15 1/2 x 40" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000
