- Lot Description
A 19th century Historical Blue Staffordshire "Mendenhall Ferry" platter by Joseph Stubbs. Oblong with notches at the rim, transfer-decorated idyllic scene with cows in the fore, ferry with passengers crossing a stream. Stamped blue on the reverse enclosing title. Crazing and stains noted to the reverse side, along with remnants of hand notations. 16 1/2" long by 13 1/2" wide. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
