A mid 19th century Meissen porcelain portrait plaque. Oval, hand-painted depiction of a gentleman in three-quarter length, probably Charles VII, Holy Roman Emperor. Marked with blue crossed swords on the reverse, also incised A147 and impressed 70. Unsigned. Some wear noted to the decoration. Porcelain 4 1/2 x 6", in an oval oak frame painted gold and black, 6 1/2 x 8" high overall. ESTIMATE $400-600
