- Lot Description
A good late 19th century English bracket clock by J. C. Jennens, London (Jennens worked in London ca. 1863-1883). Triple chain driven fusee movement with quarter hour striking on a nest of eight bells, fancy engraved backplate and pendulum, gilded Brass dial with silvered chapter ring, cast and gilded spandrels and Chime/Silent subsidiary dial. Mahogany case with Gilded Brass fluted corner columns, Pineapple finials, lifts, foliate feet and pierced side panels. Only slight case wear, tarnish on chapter ring. Running when catalogued. 15 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $6,000-8,000
