A circa 1800 German Silver May Wine ladle. Shell-form bowl with hinged, pierced cover, "Mai Wein", opening to a gold wash interior, engraved "P. P. Fuhsenich", and fitted with an ivory handle. The bowl is stamped number 12 at the side indicating .750 fineness, and letter D, possibly for the city of Dessau. Minor wear; a few small and minor cracks to the ivory. 16 3/4" long.
