- Lot Description
A late 19th century French figural clock. Depicts the explorer Ponce de Leon standing alongside an anchor and capstan, fitted with a clock having a two-piece porcelain dial with visible escapement and Roman numerals, a glazed door at the front and back, Spelter figure on a black marble base. Not working when catalogued. Wear to the patina, especially the anchor; the dial has a 1/2" hairline crack at the top; numerous cracks, losses and repairs to the marble base. 18 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 30 1/4" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
