A 19th century French bronze and marble clock and pair of candelabra, F. Barbedienne Foundry. Neoclassical garniture includes a rouge marble architectural clock with d'ore bronze lion mask handles, swags, and paw feet, marked "JED" on the movement, surmounted by a separate bronze sculpture of a classical style female figure holding a chisel, alongside a column with the names of various playwrights, including Euripides and Racine, unmarked otherwise, together with a pair of five-light candelabra, each is marked "F. Barbedienne" at the base. The clock case has two filled holes at the top; candelabra are lacking bobeches. Not working when catalogued. Clock 19 x 8 x 27 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $12,000-15,000
