- Lot Description
A French Louis XV style Lacquered bracket clock and stand. 8-day time and strike movement stamped "H & F, Paris, 620", porcelain dial with blue Roman numerals, with pendulum and key. Ogee shape clock with red tortoise and black lacquer veneer in the boulle style, brass inlay at the front side, raised on a separate platform stand. The square plate beneath the finial is not flat; brass trim is rippling in several pieces and is lifting at the lower left corner of the front side; the catch on the door does not extend enough to close it completely. Several losses to the stand's veneer, as well as the brass. Not running when catalogued. Clock, 14 1/2" high; the stand 9 x 2 1/4" high. ESTIMATE $600-1,000
