An early 19th century American Federal period knife box. Figured Mahogany with Curly Maple façade and banded detail. Traditional form with sloped lid and shaped façade. Original Brass handle and escutcheon with punchwork edges. Older refinishing with minor wear, lacks interior. 13 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $600-800
