An early 19th century European oil on canvas. Rococo style, depicting a young woman rebuffing a kneeling young man. No apparent signature. Original canvas with craquelure overall, stretcher marks, and varnished; small areas of overpainting, mostly at the upper corners and along the right side. Image 12 1/2 x 15 1/4", framed 19 3/4 x 22 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $400-600
