A 19th century Dutch Sterling Silver sauce bowl on stand. A round compote with pierced rim mounted to an underplate raised on three claw-and-ball feet, with beaded rims. Legible hallmarks include the Province of Holland standard mark (minimum .934 fineness), axe mark, letters "I" and "L". Minor wear; the lower dish with small dent at the rim, and the rim of the compote is slightly misshapen. Also, the three feet have left impressions in the lower dish. 7 3/4" diameter.
