The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (1966), directed by Sergio Leone, is a classic Spaghetti Western that follows three gunslingers—Blondie (Clint Eastwood), Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef), and Tuco (Eli Wallach)—as they vie for a hidden stash of Confederate gold during the American Civil War. Each character embodies a distinct moral archetype: Blondie is the stoic, heroic "Good," Angel Eyes is the ruthless "Bad," and Tuco, a bandit with a complicated sense of honor, represents the "Ugly." The film is known for its iconic music score by Ennio Morricone, its tense standoffs, and its exploration of greed, loyalty, and survival in a harsh, lawless world. The movie is the final installment of Leone's "Dollars Trilogy" and has become a cornerstone of the Western genre.
