Teri Causey (21st Century) American, Oil on Marine Plywood Landscape. Bright, boldly colored vertical landscape depicting a river surrounded by dense tropical foliage, with a woman in traditional Hawaiian garb reclining on a rock, lower right. Signed lower right and verso. Unframed.
Size: 41 7/8 x 41 3/4 in.
Teri Causey is a self-taught American artist renowned for her mixed media and contemporary abstract works. She began her career in interior and fabric design after graduating from the University of Mississippi but later transitioned to painting, participating in outdoor art shows. Her creative process involves layering acrylics, soft pastels, and silk-screening techniques on wood panels to explore color and shape. Over the past three decades, her whimsical hand-carved and hand-painted furnishings have been featured in Southwest Florida galleries and boutiques. Teri has showcased her work at numerous art festivals, including ArtFest Fort Myers and the Magic City Art Connection. She currently operates from her gallery in Fort Myers, Florida, where she continues to create and exhibit her vibrant artworks.
