Artist Biography:
Rob Lorenson, born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1969, is an American abstract sculptor celebrated for his dynamic stainless steel and aluminum creations. He earned a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Northern Iowa in 1991 and an MFA from Northern Illinois University in 1994. Since 1999, Lorenson has been a professor at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, where he continues to inspire students while producing his art. His sculptures, characterized by a rich interplay of formalist elements and a sense of suspended animation, have been featured in numerous exhibitions, including Pierwalk in Chicago and the Sarasota Season of Sculpture. Lorenson's work is included in over 200 public and private collections, ranging from small tabletop pieces to monumental outdoor installations. - Shipping Info
