Rare Early French Servres Porcelain Vase Marking Identified As 1766. Royal Blue & Gold Design With Two Cherubs.
Sèvres Porcelain is one of the most prestigious and renowned porcelain manufacturers in the world, with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Founded in 1740 as Manufacture Royale de Porcelaine, the factory was established in Sèvres, France, and it quickly became known for producing high-quality porcelain and for its association with the French royal court, particularly under the reign of Louis XV. In 1759, the factory was officially moved to its location in Sèvres, and it became known as the Royal Manufacture of Sèvres.
