Pair of Igbo House Posts .
Carved hardwood figures, each consisting of a series of stacked anthropomorphic forms. Stylized human figures and geometric forms. Each house post is mounted on a square base.
These Igbo houseposts are powerful examples of traditional African art. They are not only functional objects but also important cultural symbols that reflect the beliefs and values of the Igbo people. Their stylized forms and intricate carvings make them valuable and collectible artifacts.
Condition: Small chips. Commensurate with age.
