#5167Artist Biography:
Norma McMullen, born in Chicago IL, won a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago and studied at the American Academy of Art. Working as a commercial artists for 22 years doing art and animation for film and TV commercials took her from studios in Chicago to New York and California. Hanna-Barbera Studios remains one of her favorite experiences as an artist, working on The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and Yogi Bear. Only a little green elf called "The Storyteller" could pull her away from her cartoon family in California and bring her back to the Windy City.
For ten years Norma did art and photography for "The Storyteller" on WGN-TV, an educational TV show that showed children the importance of books and reading. Becoming an art director would only be topped by becoming a freelance artist, which enabled her to diversify and do what she loves: photography, oil paintings, watercolors and sculpture. Her style reflects years of experience in a wide range of creative avenues. - Shipping Info
