Mike Peters (Born 1943) American, Artist's Proof Print "Cat Training". Artist's proof for a cartoon panel for Mother Goose & Grimm, titled Cat Training, exploring the complexities and difficulties of convincing cats not to listen to humans. Anybody who has interacted with a cat can sympathize.
Signed in late and in pencil lower left. Numbered AP 4/5, lower right. Framed.

Mike Peters (b. 1943) is an American cartoonist best known for creating the long-running comic strip Mother Goose and Grimm, which debuted in 1984. His work is characterized by sharp humor and exaggerated, expressive characters, often featuring the mischievous and lovable dog, Grimm. Peters is also an accomplished editorial cartoonist, winning the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1981. His cartoons have been widely syndicated, appearing in newspapers across the United States.
