Marko Mavrovich (Born 1960) American, Seaside Landscape Oil on Canvas. Depicts a sailboat sheltering in a small tidal pool along a mountainous coast, surrounded by brilliantly lush plants and vegetation. Signed bottom left. Title written on back of canvas: "Just For the Night." Signed and dated 2011 along with measurements in same area, with prior gallery information attached above.

Marko Mavrovich was born in 1960 to Croatian parents living in California. A self-taught artist, he began drawing, painting and selling his work in his teens to help his family make ends meet, and traveled to the Mediterranean in his twenties to learn about his heritage. The views of the Adriatic Sea captivated him and became his primary inspiration, and after returning to the United States he eventually began exhibiting his work in street shows and festivals where he was discovered by established galleries like Park West. His beautiful coastlines, seascapes, and landscapes are now in public, private, and corporate collections all over the world, and he continues to travel extensively across the globe in an effort to capture as many unique views of the water and seaside locations as he can.
