Sight Size: 12 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.Louis Franciscus Hendrik Apol (1850–1936) was a Dutch painter known for his landscapes and genre scenes. He trained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and became renowned for his realistic portrayals of rural life, particularly in the countryside of the Netherlands. Apol’s works often featured serene landscapes with a focus on the interaction between light and nature. His use of rich, earthy tones and fine attention to detail garnered him praise during his lifetime, and his paintings remain highly regarded for their reflective and tranquil qualities.
