Size: 12 x 5 1/2 x 15 in.

Kerri Buxton was born in Logan, Utah, in 1961 and defied Mormon norms to study metalsmithing at the University of Utah. With a concentration in ceramics she earned his BFA in 1985. She opened her own studio the same year. Brad Evan Taylor was born in Salt Lake City in 1964, and his family divided their time between there and Evergreen, Colorado due to his fathers work. He attended the University as well, studying sculpture and ceramic art and graduating with a BFA Cum Laude in 1988. He met Kerri his senior year and began to collaborate regularly with her for the next thirty years, with the studio eventually sharing their name. Their pieces ran the gamut from functional minimalist designs to large-scale abstract installations, inspired by both of their experiences and interests intertwined. Together, their work began to appear in exhibitions and permanent collections in Korea and Taiwan, as well as throughout the United States. Today, Kerri spends part of the year in Korea as an artist in residence at various institutions, while Brad lives between Salt Lake City and Honolulu, Hawaii, where he is a tenured professor of art at the University of Mānoa.
