J Ambrose Pritchard (Massachusetts1858 - 1905) Orientalist street scene with figures. Watercolor. Signed lower left. Sight size: 9.5 x 7.5 in. Overall Size: 16 x 14 in. A specialist in watercolor painting, J. Ambrose Pritchard was born in Boston in 1858. He studied at the Academic Julian in Paris under Gustave Boulanger and Jules-Joseph Lefebvre from 1881 to 1887. His exhibited at the Boston Society of Watercolor Painters, the Boston Art Club, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. This item is framed behind glass.
