- Lot Description
Hannah Moscon 20th Century American 1950's Abstract Painting "Blind Mans Bluff". Exhibited at the American Watercolor Society and at the National Association of Women Artists. Signed lower left. Gouache.
Hannah Moscon was born in New York and studied at the Art Students League and the Brooklyn Museum School of Art, She has exhibited regularly in group shows and held a one-man exhibition of gouaches and watercolors in the Barbizon Plaza Art Gallery in 1948. Contemporary Arts has shown examples of her work constantly and, for many reasons Collectors of American Art has acquired a gouache for its members.
In 1947 she won a first prize for water color from the Brooklyn Society of Artists, and another from the National Association of Women Artists. Since then she has received prizes each year from the National Association of Women Artists, Since then she has received prizes each year from these two associations of which she is a member. In 1951 she received Honorable Mention in the Artists Equity Members Exhibition in May.
