Greek Reproduction of 480 BC Mixing Bowl Hand of Soldiers on a Chariot
Back Reads: Attic Black Figure, Krater 480 BC Signed G... Hand made in Greece.
Attic refers Attica (region surrounding Athens). Krater is a name for a large mixing bowl for diluting wine with water. 480 bc is the Late Archaic to Early Classical period of Greek art, a time when black-figure pottery was still being produced, but was transitioning to red-figure. Hand Made in Greece": This indicates that the vase is a modern reproduction of an ancient Greek krater.
