Frederick Hart (Born 1943) American, Acrylic Sculpture "Breath of Life". Acrylic sculpture of two lovers, male and female nude figures. Titled "Breath of Life". Signed Hart in one spot. In another Signed F Hart, dated 1990, and numbered 325/350 C.A.I.

Frederick Hart was a prominent figurative sculptor in the late 20th century. He thought that art must touch are lives, fears, cares, and give hope to the darkness. He began his career in Washington D.C. He was an apprentice at the National Cathedral, which is where he learned about sculpting and stone cutting. Hart won a competition to design the facade of the Cathedral, which incorporated his thirteen year masterpiece of the Creation, a 21 x 15 foot bas relief. He also made Three Soldiers for the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in DC. Before dying of lung cancer in 1999, Hart built his 17,000 square foot dream home "Chesley" on 250 acres of land in Virginia.
