Edwina Talley (b. 1938) American, Canine Portrait Oil on Board. Portrait of a Chow Chow dog. Signed and dated 1973 bottom right.

Edwina Talley (previously known as Edwina Svoboda before her divorce) was born in Athens, Georgia in 1938. She attended the University of Georgia where she studied fine art and moved to San Francisco after graduating in 1960. She is well known for her artwork of dogs in a variety of mediums. One of her bronzes is in the collection of the American Kennel Club, and today she lives and works in the Bay Area, helping to raise Doberman Pinschers.
