Dominick Labino was an American internationally known scientist, inventor, artist and master craftsman in glass. Labino's art works in glass are in the permanent collections of more than 100 museums throughout the world. Labino held over 60 glass-oriented patents in the United States.

Dominick Labino was a pioneering American glass artist and engineer, instrumental in the studio glass movement of the 1960s. Born in 1910, Labino initially worked as an industrial engineer and inventor, holding over 60 patents, including innovations in fiberglass technology. His passion for glass art emerged later in life, where he combined his technical expertise with creative artistry. Labino developed new techniques for melting and forming glass, and his work is celebrated for its vibrant colors and intricate designs. His contributions significantly influenced the glass art community, making him a key figure in elevating glassblowing to a respected art form.
