Sight Size: 24 x 36 in.Danny Doughty is an American visionary folk artist celebrated for his vibrant depictions of African American life on the Eastern Shore. Born and raised in the small fishing village of Willis Wharf, Maryland, Doughty found inspiration in the local Black community, whose warmth and resilience profoundly influenced his art. Over a career spanning more than 35 years, his work has been showcased nationally, earning acclaim for its rich color palettes and dynamic compositions. Doughty continues to create and exhibit his art, inviting visitors to experience his creative process firsthand at his gallery and studio in Onancock, Virginia.
