(2) Uncirculated 1989 American Silver Eagle Fine Silver Dollar Coins. Silver collar coin with Walking Liberty on observe, American eagle reverse. Two uncirculated Walking Liberty silver dollars in acrylic case. One in display box.
The 1989 American Silver Eagle is a one-ounce bullion coin issued by the U.S. Mint, featuring Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design on the obverse, originally used on the half dollar from 1916 to 1947. The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, depicts a heraldic eagle with a shield, clutching an olive branch and arrows. Struck in .999 fine silver, the coin has a face value of one dollar but is primarily valued for its silver content and collectibility. Part of the American Silver Eagle series introduced in 1986, the 1989 issue continues to be sought after by investors and collectors.
