Paul Evans (1931–1987) was an American sculptor and furniture designer known for his bold, brutalist metalwork and innovative approach to studio furniture. Blending sculpture and craftsmanship, Evans created distinctive pieces using welded steel, bronze, and other metals, often featuring intricate textures, patinas, and abstract designs. He was a key figure in the mid-century American studio furniture movement, with his work being produced for Directional Furniture in the 1960s and 1970s. Today, Evans' sculptural furniture is highly sought after by collectors, recognized for its unique fusion of artistry and functionality.
