- Lot Description
(2) Japanese Woodblocks, Mt. Fuji. One being after Yoshida Hiroshi. Image sizes: 9 x 14 / 14 x 9 in. Overall Sizes: 18.5 x 23.75 / x 15.5 in. These items are framed behind glass. “Mt. Fuji” is signed in pencil by YOSHIDA Hiroshi (1876-1950) one of the most famous 20th-century Japanese printmakers in the shin-hanga style – an early 20th-century revitalization movement of the traditional ukiyo-e styles of the 17-19th centuries. The bamboo "Sparrow and Bamboo" print is attributed on the back by the Gallery to GESSO Yoshimato (1881-1936).
