  Size:3.6 x 10.8 Condition: Perfect Condition Description: KIrsehir is a city in Central Anatolia midway between Ankara and Kayseri. The prominent design of this area is the prayer rug. It typically has an elaborate stepped arch above a prayer-niche design that may be fringed with tiny carnations and contain a smaller, concentric niche outlined with a contrasting colour. The colour scheme can be rich with cherry red hues, yellow, violet, terra-cotta, green, pale blue and black-browns. The shade of red used is obtained from the cochineal insect.
