Size:5.9 x 7.8 Condition: Perfect Condition Description: Nahavand is located in the west of Iran, about 100 miles south of Hamadan and is an ancient city. The rugs produced here are mostly built on a cotton foundation. Nahavand rugs are noticeable due to the softness but more importantly, the sheen, from their wool. The pattern usually encapsulates a large single central medallion with smaller nomadic motifs surrounding it. The colours used are a beautiful blend, normally utilising rusty reds and khakis on a dark blue background but may vary from rug to rug. These are beautiful rugs of high quality and are well sought after in the west.
