Those born between February 17, 1969 and February 5, 1970 are members of the Earth Rooster Chinese Zodiac sign. Under the influence of the Earth Element, the Earth Rooster is the most grounded and focused of the Rooster types. With a practical nature, the Earth Rooster can develop realistic expectations and goals in life and are not overly focused on material wealth. At the same time, those born under this sign run the risk of becoming overly stubborn and close-minded in their thinking. The traditional Chinese calendar follows a 60-year, rotating name cycle where each year's name contains two parts: the celestial stem (an animal zodiac), and the terrestrial branch (a natural element). The animal character is taken from a rotating list of 12 signs, while the elemental term is taken from a rotating list of five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water).
