This wooden birdhouse is moderate in size to accommodate smaller birds. It has an elaborate organic topography to blend into the natural environment. Its protruding shapes allow the birds to move about the nest. The two-toned stain provides a distinctive look and a sealant for durability. It can be washed by flushing it with water from the entrance hole. It comes as one piece and does not need assembly.
Suzy Bishara graduated from Columbia University. Before becoming an architect, she ventured in many disciplines ranging from the arts and humanities to the theoretical sciences. Uneven curved shapes characterize most of her work, and she avoids using sharp angles as she perceives them to cause discomfort. This particular birdhouse is meant to fit in nature and thus incorporates the natural brown color of wood, but most of her work contains touches of eccentric colors.
