Nesting Drops
Polyurethane resin, birdseed, mica
Dimensions variable
Nesting Drops cluster together in an open pattern that can be reconfigured to the specifics of its site. The drops can be placed together or scattered separately around a larger area; either on a wall surface, underneath a roof overhang, or in a more natural setting. Glowing diffusely from within, the amber resin drops cling to their surfaces like drops of dew or sap, providing a sense of timelessness to the avian inhabitants who become momentarily encapsulated within. The varied size of the drop shapes accommodate a diversity of bird species and nesting opportunities.
