Edward Curtis (American, 1868-1952). Gelatin silver print photograph depicting a portrait of early Hollywood star Evelyn Pierce. Hand colored by Emma G. Hoffman. Signed in negative along the lower right. Stamped by Hoffman along the verso.
Provenance: from the Estate of Christopher Cardozo.
Height: 10 in x width: 8 in.Condition
The emulsion appears smooth with no breaks. The photo is mounted to cardboard. There are minute losses and wear along the extreme edges. There is a small crease along the lower left corner. A few light surface marks throughout the verso. The work is not framed.
