Pair of Mid-century Wallpaper Rolls Schumacher & Wilton E Owen Inc. Pattern titled "Americana" by Wilton E Owen Inc operating from Madison Avenue in the 1950s, depicts an infinitely tiling group of traditional houses interwoven with lush tree foliage, in white over dark green. Design titled'Double Entendre,' produced by F. Schumacher & Co circa 1952, hasan all-over pattern of stylized leaves in brown and gold over a medium gray ground. A small fragment of a variant of the latter, over pale ground, is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum. These remnant rolls are a full2-inches thick.
Dimensions are 2 in h x 30 in w. Rolls have not been fully unfurled to determinefull length, but thickness of both is approximately 2 inches. Condition is good, with some minoredge wear and outer discoloration. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
