Made for the US Arm's Women's Auxillary Army Corps (WAAC) and US Navy's Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) WWII programs, which enlisted hundreds of thousands of women as officers, switchboard operators, mechanics and bakers,and in military intelligence, cryptography, and parachute rigging. Includes several paintingsby classic illustratorJohn Philip Falter (1910-1982), and incredible gender-troubling slogans, and one fantastic photographic Pallas Athene design reminiscent of Soviet constructivism.
