Robert Salmon (American 1775-1840) Oil on Panel "Shipping in a Mountainous Strait, Fisher Folk on Shore", signed and dated lower right R. Salmon, 1826, inscribed in his hand verso: Painted by Robert Salmon, 1826 and numbered N. 517, also with indistinct inscriptions in pencil; in original handmade floral sprig gilt frame (one rosette missing) collector number 1814 on frame panel.
