Log Book of the Barque Cora 1841-1845 - A Whaling Cruise to The Pacific out of New Bedford, preface page "Bark Cora's Log Book, Capt. Archilous Baker Bound to the Pacific Oceon (sic). Archilous Baker in Command, His log book; many whale stamps, good condition and legible, the spine was professionally replaced, retaining the original boards and all pages, some damage to the bottom front cover and some pages. The log book comes with a crew list made from reading the entire log, Boatstearer, James Ralph was carried down by a line - July 10, 1843. Samuel Wescott died of consumption after 3 1/2 months - July 3, 1844. His clothes sold at auction. Mate, James Gracie was discharged before sailing from Sidney. He would not sail with Mr. Lewis, 2nd Mate.
