Graham Noble Norwell, untitled, (Winter Landscape), original watercolour on artist board painting. This piece is of a winter scene with a few cabins, surrounded by snow covered hills and pathways, with a large snow covered mountain range in the background. There is some residue around the periphery from previous frame, otherwise excellent.

Graham was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1901. He then emigrated to Canada in 1914 with his family, settling in Kingston. In 1920, Norwell studied under Arthur Lismer, George Reid, J.W. Beatty and Robert Holmes at the Ontario College of Art.Graham was best known for his depictions of Laurentian winter landscapes often including rural villages and cottages. he worked in oil and watercolour.He exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1921-1943 and the Art Association of Montreal in 1922-1943. His works are included in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada.
