Three Stained Wicker Butt Baskets
Blue, brown, and green.
Wear, surface distress.
Provenance: Midwestern Virtue: Property from the Collection of Sam and Patty McCullough
Blue: 10 x 15 x 11 1/2 in. (25.4 x 38.1 x 29.2 cm.)Condition
Blue Basket: Paint worn on handle and other high spots. A few scattered breaks around rim of basket. Wear to paint on base. Paint likely original.
Green Basket: Wear to paint on handle and base. As well as other scattered high spots, possible restoration on central ribs on underside of basket with lighter green paint. A few scattered breaks and splits to splints.
Red Basket: Similar wear patterns to paint. Underside with possible repair and later touch up color that doesn’t match perfectly. Red color maybe later. A few minor splits.
