Bird's head pommel, many intricately carved faces peering from the shaft of the cane, carved at the terminus of each successive branch, glass eyes throughout: silver presentation shield engraved "J.E.S. from REES". Hallmarks for Chester, England on silver, for Colin Hewen Cheshire 1916.
