Stained Pine Slant Front Miniature Bureau
19th/20th C. Together with a hanging shelf. 2 pieces
Surface distress, knobs loose, wear, stains.
Provenance: Katharine duPont Weymouth, Greenville, DE
21 1/2 x 15 3/4 x 11 in. (54.6 x 40 x 27.9 cm.), and 41 x 29 3/4 x 10 in. (104.1 x 75.6 x 25.4 cm.)Condition
Desk: One loper with loose pull. Keyholes lacking escutcheons. Patch to writing surface near hinges. Hinges possibly replaced. Some backboards loose. Fall board probably replaced. Bottom drawer with some losses to cock beading. General surface wear and abrasion. Shelf: 20th Century. Scattered mildewing and abrasions. Some heavier wear on face of one side and back edge of two shelves. Some traces of pint paint on back edge of shelves. Thank you for your interest in our upcoming sale.
