Title page featuring three episodes from St. Paul's life in the lower half, the title inscribed in a rectangle in the center, St. Paul surmounting it, and two female personifications of law ('lex nova' and 'lex vetus') on either side.
Priest of the Flemish Catholic Church, Cornelius Cornelii à Lapide SJ (born Cornelis Cornelissen van den Steen; 18 December 1567 – 12 March 1637). He was a scripture interpreter and a Jesuit.
