- Lot Description
The lot features a beautiful Southern Plains beaded Bobcat hide bowcase and quiver with bow and arrows. The bowcase / bow case is comprised of a Bobcat hide with the head being the mouth of the bow and arrow section and the legs the hanging fringes. The center of the bowcase has a tanned hide geometric beaded section furthern adorned by six wound glass trade bead fringes with carved wood faux Grizzly bear claws. The shoulder strap is furthern accented by geometric beadwork with wound glass trade bead fancy edge and two round medallion beaded sections with abalone shell gorget center sections. The tanned Bobcat hide with fur on shows the legs hanging with the tanned paws and claws adorned with four tanned hide beaded medallions with abalone shell gorget centers and brass metal hawk trade bells. The beadwork shows pony trade beads and wound glass trade beads in wonderful colors of red white heart, greasy yellow, cobalt, amber, light blue and light green, amongst others. The bow is carved wood with a polychrome black and red painted finish with sinew strung bowstring and hanging tanned hide fringes with fancy beadwork. There are three wooden shaft arrows with carved nocks, turkey feather fletching, red and green paint, sinew sewing, metal arrow heads. The set is truly stunning. Overall measures 50-inches high by 60-inches wide.
