A lot of Scientific tools with a variety of applications. Mostly very well made, some in boxes, some in leather cases. To include: A fine 19th century boxed set of compass and scribing tools. Bone handles to 4 dividers. The plush lined box has a compartment in the top that houses a horn protractor (some insect damage). The bottom is comprised of 2 sections (top section lifts out). Includes some extra small tools. There is some surface rusting to some of the tools. The box has a brass name plate in the top "F.L. Clerc". (H 2-3/4" W 9-3/4" D 6"). The Lifeguard Periscope (H 4-1/2" W 4-1/2" D 2") Accordians out to 24", English. Folding wood, metal, and glass pericope, (H 6-3/4" W 2-3/4" D 1-3/4" folded), opens to about 30". Other scope attachments for camera, microscope, and a "Nervo-Scope" hand held tool in a faux leather case (carry strap missing). A German made microscope base attachment in a plush lined fancy case. C Reichert. Wein. Appears complete. (H 3-3/4" W 5-3/4" D 5-1/4"). 3 very finely made scribes in worn, but complete leather cases. One by Bates, London. One by Stanley Holborn, W.C. One seems unmarked. (2-3/4" long; 3-7/8" long; 7" long -one hook missing from one clasp). One fine bone and brass folding ruler (open 12" folded 6"). One Mark IV Balloon Filler, comprised of 3 threaded brass discs, 1 brass washer, and 1 brass nozzle. All in a mahogany box. (H 1-1/2" W 4" D 3-1/2"). 10 other draftman's tools and misc.boxed set of 3 glass filtration funnels, with spiggots, a boxed set of capped glass tubes with spools wound with various strings, two infusers consisting of pressed glass bases, metal tubes for gas flow(?) and one with a cobalt colored glass bulb at the top, and the other with an amber colored bulb. Other items include infusion apparatuses, thermometers, and a Matica DoctroVac Facial Machine (Patent Pending) having a heavy porcelain base with attached electric motor and stainless attachment A mixed bag, but some fine tools.
Condition: Mostly Very Good. Imperfections and wear as expected. Some pieces may be incomplete. Please examine photos.

All shipping is outsourced. All buyers and shippers must come prepared with appropriate packing materials and help for heavy items. Our staff will not be available to help move heavy items. If payment is made by check, items will be held 7 business days before an item is released for shipping.
Items can be picked up in person or by a shipper at 14 Business Park Drive - Unit 5, Branford, CT - BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction. Please note that all first-time buyers that wish to pick items up in person must pay with cash.

All purchases must be picked up from our location within 14 days, no exceptions. Purchased items that have been paid for but not picked up or shipped from our auction facility within 14 days of the auction will be stored at a rate of $10 per day per lot for furniture and larger items and $5 per day per lot for smaller items. A moving fee of $25 going into storage and $25 going out of storage will be added. Storage fees and late fees must be paid before items are released. There are no exceptions.
Items not picked up within 60 days of the auction date will be considered in default and become the property of New England Auctions.
