The Watercolor on paper, laid down on card stock with blind stamp lower right F. W. Oliver, Oswego Co. N.Y. possible small artist monogram on dock, lower right. Depicting the famous tug boat, launched April 25th 1872 at Oswego New York, built by George Goble, an immigrant from Kinsale Ireland, was a significant builder of Great Lakes schooners through 1906. The Alanson Sumner was abandoned in Port Huron, MI, in 1899. 13 in. x 16-1/4 in. image size. Overall card stock size, 16 in. x 20in. In antique walnut carved frame with period mat and old rolled glass. Overall framed apron 20-3/4 in. x 24-3/4in. . Condition: inspected out of frame, small hole in card stock un upper margin not visible in mat and frame. Light struck overall with faded color. A good period, antique watercolor. Frame is very nice.
It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for and pay for shipping. Invoices are emailed when the auction is complete are required to be paid within five days. We accept bank wire transfers, cash, personal or company checks, and all major credit cards. Payments are accepted through the bidding platform for a 2.8% processing fee assumed by the buyer. If paying by check, Neue Auctions, LLC reserves the right to hold all purchases until the check has cleared to the satisfaction of Neue Auctions, LLC and its bank. Neue Auctions at our discretion, reserves the right to deny credit card purchases by phone. Any credit card payment by phone is subject to a 5% processing fee assumed by the buyer at the discretion of the gallery. We reserve the right to decline payment by credit card for any reason and may request wire payment or check. Payment is required within five days of the auction end date or if a check is mailed, the gallery must be notified. Bidder dispute will be opened if payment is not received within our terms. If paying by check, Neue Auctions, LLC reserves the right to hold all purchases until the check has cleared to the satisfaction of Neue Auctions, LLC and its bank.
